Lower investment levels now apply to Golden Visas tied to projects in Indonesia's new capital, Nusantara (IKN).

In January 2026 Indonesia reduced the investment required for Golden Visas linked to its new capital, Nusantara (IKN), to US$5 million for a five-year permit and US$10 million for ten years — well below the standard corporate thresholds. Eligibility is limited to investors tied to approved IKN projects and a prescribed list of international professional-services firms. The move aims to channel more capital into building the East Kalimantan capital.
