Indonesia requires a digital arrival card and in-person visa extensions
Indonesia has merged its customs, immigration and health declarations into a single mandatory "All Indonesia" digital arrival card, which travelers should complete within three days before arrival to use the automated e-gates. Separately, since June 2025 visa and stay-permit extensions can no longer be finished entirely online — applicants must register first, then attend an immigration office in person for biometrics and a brief interview. The rules affect visitors landing in Bali, Jakarta and other entry points.
