As part of a wider 2025–2026 visa overhaul, the UAE now lets holders of most 30- and 60-day tourist and business visit visas extend their stay online through the ICP portal without exiting the country — ending the old "visa run." The same package added new purpose-built visit-visa categories and expanded the self-sponsored five-year multiple-entry tourist visa. The grace period for overstays has tightened, with a flat daily fine now applied across all emirates.
