The UAE's economy minister confirmed in late January 2026 that the long-planned GCC unified tourist visa — branded "GCC Grand Tours" and likened to Europe's Schengen — will enter a pilot phase in the final quarter of 2026, starting with a UAE–Bahrain corridor. Once live, a single permit would let international visitors move across all six member states without applying separately for each. Final pricing and stay rules have not yet been officially published, and existing visa-on-arrival and visa-free options will remain in place.
