No independent Palestinian Authority visa system exists for foreign tourists — entry to both the West Bank and Gaza remains entirely gated through Israel (West Bank, via the Israeli-controlled Allenby/King Hussein Bridge from Jordan, requiring Israeli-issued permits) or Egypt (Gaza, via the Rafah crossing). Bangladesh's own government reinstated its 'except Israel' passport policy and travel-ban directive on 13 April 2025 (see the Israel record for this batch) — this closes off the West Bank/Allenby route for Bangladeshi passport holders as a matter of Bangladeshi policy, not just Israeli entry practicality. Separately, the Rafah crossing (Gaza) has been effectively closed to general civilian/foreign-tourist traffic since Israel took control of it on 6 May 2024; brief, tightly-restricted pedestrian-only reopenings occurred around 2 February 2026 and 19 March 2026 for humanitarian purposes under continued Israeli security oversight (with EU observers and Palestinian Authority personnel present), but Israel retains effective control and this is not a viable route for ordinary tourism. The broader regional Iran-Israel-US conflict active since roughly early-to-mid 2026 (see Iran record) further elevates the safety risk across the region generally, including the West Bank, where several governorates are currently flagged as off-limits by Western government travel advisories.
