Visa types (4)
eVisa available ONLY for Bangladeshis holding a valid GCC residence permit (UAE, Saudi, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman). Fee: KWD 3 (~USD 10). Otherwise embassy application required.
Kuwait Commercial Visa for Business activities. Kuwait operates NOC (No Objection Certificate) system — Kuwait-based sponsor obtains pre-approval from Ministry of Interior, then applicant collects visa endorsement at embassy.
Kuwait Work Permit — Kuwait's primary employment-based visa. Article 17 (private sector, new), Article 18 (private sector renewed/transferred), Article 20 (domestic/household). Major destination for BD workers (~300,000+).
Kuwait Dependent Visa (Article 22) for spouses and minor children of resident workers. Sponsor must meet salary threshold (KWD 500/month — significantly higher than other GCC states, limits dependent visas to skilled workers).
Common rejection reasons
Common BD rejections: (1) Bangladesh NOT eligible for standard tourist eVisa - must be sponsored; (2) Sponsor (Kuwaiti Civil ID + salary cert) inadequate; (3) For Family Visit: relationship proof critical; (4) Previous Gulf overstay/rejection history; (5) Medical fitness test issues for Work; (6) Single male applicants face heavy scrutiny.
