Overview
MAJOR CHANGE: Ghana launched an entirely new official eVisa portal (evisa.immigration.gov.gh, operated by the Ghana Immigration Service with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs) on 25 May 2026, replacing the prior embassy-based process and ending visa-on-arrival for most travelers. Verified directly against the portal's own public eligibility/fee data: Bangladesh nationals require an eVisa (status: visa_required, authorization: evisa — not visa-free/ETA). The current base fee for both the Tourist (B2) and Business (B1) eVisa is USD 260 (single entry, 30-90 day validity, standard processing ~5 business days / 96 hours) — a large increase from the prior USD 50-100. An independent industry source covering the same May-2026 relaunch corroborates the USD 260 base figure and additionally cites a multiple-entry option around USD 468 and a 5-hour express service around USD 442; the official portal's public fee data did not clearly separate out those two figures this session, so they are reported with lower confidence and not included as verified numeric fields. African passport holders now travel to Ghana visa-free; this does NOT extend to Bangladesh.
